In 2018, Second Place at the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) Quinn’s was voted Best Fine Jewelry Store in Northern Virginia by Virginia Living magazine’s Best of Virginia.
2016
Quinn’s took First and Second Honors at Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) conference in Orlando, FL. The first-place award came for his eight carat oval sapphire with two carats of diamonds set in 14KT white gold pendant (pictured). He also won two second-place Awards for a 14KT white and yellow gold hand carved pink tourmaline and diamond pendant, and a two-tone super nova diamond and ruby pendant.
2014
Quinn’s Goldsmith took 1st Place for Design in a multinational competition by the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO). The competition was open to all IJO members from Canada and the United States. There were four categories each determined by price. Mr. Quinn won two awards that evening; First Place for a diamond and red tourmaline gold pendant and Honorable Mention for a diamond and green tourmaline gold pendant.
2012
Joined the Lakeridge Rotary Club. The goal of the club is to help those less fortunate by partnering with local and international groups, and leveraging the skills and business acumen of 40+ Lake Ridge residents joined together in a mission of service. We are first and foremost a Membership Organization; one that provides services to benefit humanity. All of the funds that we raise go back to projects that serve our community and to better our world.
2007
Quinn’s Goldsmith won the coveted Business of the Year Award for Prince William County. Awarded to a member business that displays overall outstanding contributions to the Chamber and/or to the business community.
1998
Quinn’s became the only jewelry store to have won the prestigious Virginia State Chamber of Commerce Fantastic 50 Award. To be eligible for the Virginia Fantastic 50, a company must be privately held with headquarters in Virginia, show revenues between $200,000 and $200 million, and demonstrate positive revenue growth and positive net income in its most recent fiscal year over the previous year.
1992
Became a member of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. The vision is to be the voice of the Virginia business community and the most influential business advocacy organization in the Commonwealth.
1987
Terry Quinn became a Knights of Columbus member. This group consists of men who lead, serve, protect and defend, whether they are giving out Coats for Kids, lending a hand in disaster relief efforts, supporting local pregnancy centers by donating ultrasound machines or providing top-quality financial products.

In February, Quinn’s was named the number one store offering “Superior Customer Service” by the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO). Terry Quinn was elected for this prestigious award from a pool of more than 800 IJO retail jeweler members. The criterion for this honor was demonstration that Quinn’s Goldsmith provides confidence, trust, integrity, honesty and expertise to their customers.
2002
Joined the Independent Jewelers Organization. This is an elite group of retailers. The members are Master IJO Jewelers and are hand-selected for membership in the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO). IJO is an organization that only accepts jewelers with the highest ethical standards and superior professional integrity. Quinn’s became the Chairman of the Retail Division for the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce
1995
Joined the National Federation of Independent Business. NFIB is the voice of small business, advocating on behalf of America’s small and independent business owners around the country. When a big issue affects small and independent businesses, NFIB is there.
1990
Became a Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce member Joined the Occoquan Merchants Association The Mission of this association is to promote and support Occoquan, the shops and merchants in the Town, and the local Town Government. Became a member of the Prince William Business Exchange Group
Three years in a row, we were voted Best Jeweler in the County by News and Messenger’s Reader’s Choice Awards. We were featured twice on CNN nationwide, and WTTG FOX 5 News named Quinn’s their Jewelry Experts. For many years Quinn’s held a silent auction and dinner fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which raised over a quarter of a million dollars to grant the last wishes of children in the Northern Virginia area.
